You've never left your transmission not quite into park, or neutral
and found that the neutral switch wouldn't allow you to start the
engine?
We are watching the super bowl.

Nope, haven't owned many automatics. Makes sense now.
Party time eh!

Re: 2004 V8 Grand cherokee stalls, starter delay.
That doesn't seem too logical, well maybe a little. It was very consistent.
The delay of the starter to run, and the freaky guages. There was a delay,
the engine did start but ran bad. I would think the alternator would cure a
bad battery connection as far as the engine run quality goes, could be
wrong. It was in park, locked. I could imagine a bad neutral safety
switch, or intermittent I suppose. I have diagnosed bad chrysler door
switches myself on a previous car, and instructed the dealer to check them
and replace them due to the car locking me out. They went around my
diagnosis and tried to reprogram my alarm, sidestepping the root cause. I
went to the parts counter and replaced them myself for next to nothing.
Problem fixed. And about 5 minutes labor for me. -If I have money I prefer
to not work on my non-classic cars (then). Now I have to...I'm thinking
possible it's more of a computer software glitch or most likely a sensor,
but the diagnostics didn't catch anything.
