Tom Wood's Custom Drive Shafts. Just a couple months ago, Tom presumably saw
my write-up at http://7slotgrille.com/tech/sye2/index.html on my conversion
and out of the blue sent me some hats and stickers and stuff. When I called
to thank him I mentioned my off-road club's charity truck show and he sent a
whole bunch more freebies to put in the goodie bags. Top-class guy.

Re: 1997 Wrangler Problem....
I'm glad you found the cause and were able to correct it (your rear
driveshaft binding).
HOWEVER, I will chime in with the lower control arm posters, though,
to say that if you get thunking when FIRST starting to accelerate or
decelerate later on, it is also VERY likely it is your rear lower
control arm bushings. I originally had a ProComp Stage II 4" lift
myself. Got when thunking noises when
accelerating/decelerating/engaging clutch after shifting, etc.,
replaced those poly bushings on the rear lower control arms, and it
was 100% better.
By the way, if you go off-road much and disconnect your front swaybar
at all, you will do yourself a favor to switch to flexible control
arms. Those stiff ProComp POS arms will tear off a control arm mount
under regular wheeling in short order (speaking from first-hand
experience here).
