1997 Wrangler Problem....
Hello all. I recently had a Pro Comp Stage II 4 inch suspension lift
installed on my 1997 Wrangler. Now, when I accelerate, I feel a bumping noise underneath my feet. It only happens upon innitial acceleration and is worse when on an incline. I took it to my local repair shop and they are stumped. They checked the u joints and they were fine. They removed each drive shaft and the mechanic said with the rear shaft removed, that he didn't feel the bumping anymore. It did this a little before the lift kit but now it's really bad. Control arms, track bars/brackets? Even if they look tight, they may be

The drive shaft is binding.
The lift has altered the angle of the pinion shaft relative to the angle of the tcase uptput shaft. These two shafts need to be parallel, not pointed at eash other. The corrective action is to lower the tcase (the parts should have been included with the lift kit), or raise the pinion, or a combination of the two.
