I have bought brand new soft top from the member of this forum. DrToronto. Besides being very nice and smooth in communication and making the deal. It was pleasure to meet another Jeep member, share some laugh and learn new stuff.

Now little description of the soft top. I had old soft top ( on 2012) that I managed to damage while reversing into garage, making it useless and not water tight.

The soft top from 2013 model is a bit different but visibly smoother and better quality. For anyone getting 2013 soft top, please be aware that your old door surrounds will not fit easily or not at all.

There is visible difference in the style and stitching as well as it more tight fit( this could be because the top is bran new and not yet stretched) but feels better vs 2012.

I will post more details in upcoming days with some pictures to show some differences and make it easier to understand for anyone that plans to get new 2013 soft top.

No prob eh yea that was the key the plastic door mouldings have to be from a 13 it seems so anyone else looking for one better make sure all the pieces are there including the brackets need to be taken off the rear roll bar of the 13 to fir on the 12. but we goter on eh :)

 

It was learning experience. Yes DrToronto is right. if you buying new soft top make sure you have all the parts , screws etc. 2012 is different from 2013.
