Default Speakers and vibration issue

Hi Guys,

I am loving my 2013 Wrangler. However, I am having issue with the following and would hope you guys have solutions.

1. I have terrible radio reception. A lot of buzzing noise.
2. Terrible sound quality when listening to music through the Auxiliry port.
3. A lot of vibration coming from the lights cover (the lights above your head).

Definitely a dealer issue, unless of course you've got the selector on AM. lol

thats really weird.. I haven't had my 2013 very long but i haven't run into any of these issues. Definetly bring it into the dealer and ask around.

I just got my adaptable 2 way Aux Cable in the mail today and i plugged it into the AUX port in my stereo (i have the upgraded alpine system) and when i turned it up between songs it would shoot static out the speakers. So i instantly thought of this thread, and I scratch my head thinking i've heard that before some where..

I remember in my Old 99 Toyota Camry I installed a Clarion head unit with an Aux, and when I used to do overnight shifts sitting in my car watching railroad equipment i used to run the audio of my PSP into my stereo and charge it at the same time and it would static really bad into the speakers so I used to have to play on PSP speaker until it's charged then switch to the stereo and so forth.

So i unplugged my phone from the charger and Ta-Da all done! The system isn't grounded well enough to stop the static from the charging cable (my older civic i could charge and play through the Aux and it didn't do it). SOOOOO.. long post short, make sure it's not charging and try again. If not get Gold Tipped cords, it conduct better. I'll link the cable i bought off Amazon (free shipping around 2 weeks delivery)

NEEWER® Retractable 3.5mm Aux Auxiliary Cord for iPod, Mp3 Players, Cell Phones, PDA's or any device with a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack Black: Amazon.ca: Electronics NEEWER® Retractable 3.5mm Aux Auxiliary Cord for iPod, Mp3 Players, Cell Phones, PDA's or any device with a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack Black: Amazon.ca: Electronics

The price went up on it oddly enough, I bought it for 2.49 but it's pretty good quality I like it.

Mike,

Lots of good feedback on this thread.
I will jump on the dealer bandwagon as well, let's take a look and make sure everything's working as it's intended.

What dealer did you buy it from?

Weird, didn't think anyone replied this thread. I only got one email. Sorry for the delay :).

Some stations have terrible reception, like z103.5. I can live with this.
My speakers are terrible for songs with a lot of base. So I listen to less base music.

I don't think any of these issues can be fixed at the dealership unless I want to upgrade my speakers.

Really would have to have someone look at it, could be something as simple as a loose connection or dirt on the speaker Diaphram. I don't have the stock speakers, i upgraded to the alpines, so i don't know what they should sound like or what kinda bass you can get out of them.
