Picked up my Wrangler Unlimited - The waiting is over. Dealer made a mistake and gave me the undercoating, rustproofing, fabric protection and paint protection for 390.00. Basically labor cost.
They recognized mistake but honored the quote. Also got the 3000.00 off.

 

4.5 weeks and no word from the dealer at all. 8 weeks to get a VIN does not give me a lot of confidence that I will see anything by end of May as they suggested.

 

They should at least have a VON for you by now. No?

 

Got my Jeep today...kinda.
I showed up at the dealer at 8:00 AM, knowing damn well they weren't open but saw it sitting in the parking lot. My name is on the window sticker and all.
Anyways, long story short they didn't start the PDI process until noon. I got all the paperwork done so it should just be a matter of picking it up tomorrow.

I really lucked out. My factory order arrived exactly five weeks from the order date. I'm surprised your dealer has no information for you. Mine kept me up to date at least once a week.

 

No idea. They don't return my calls. That doesn't fill me with confidence either

 

Try calling 1-800-I-AM-JEEP and see if they can find out any info with just your name, or maybe also go talk to your dealer in person.

 

I will do. Buried at work these days so getting out to the dealer is not llikely to happen this week.

 

I dropped by the dealer. Fit some time in between appointments. I now have the VIN. I called Jeep customer Service and they told me it is in D1 status. It is scheduled to ship May 4th. Barring any delays I am hoping to have it by end of May. It will be a long May indeed. I was hoping to have it by the May long weekend but that is a pretty remote possibility at the moment. On the plus side at least I know it is moving forward and I can get my own updates now.

I waited 3 months minus a week for mine, the last month was by far the worst. Good luck and stay sane waiting.
