I'm a newby here, I own & drive a 1994 JGC with in line 6 eng. Have another 1994 for parts. I'm looking at a 1997 JGC that needs a trany & a 1998 JGC that also needs a trany. All 4 JGC's are full loads, auto tranys, in line 6 eng. Will the trany's & other major components, fit from the 1994s to the 97 & 98?

for the most part everything should be swappable, my 98 grand uses the same transmission that my 2004 had... i believe all GC's with 4.0L's used the 42RE automatic transmission... (except for the wranglers) only variances might be the transfer cases... check the spline count make sure its right...

All parts on the ZJ's are interchangable, some parts are interchangable to the WJ. Just give the part a good comparision look depending on what your changing out.

idk, i think the i6 was revised for 1996, and again for 1999 or 2000...
