Thanks for the hints about that lift kit, altough i dont think i will bother with the quick disco's since i dont do any major rock crawling, I will probably buy the addco sway bar soon enough, and about the transfer case drop kit, is there going to be any stress on other parts of the drive train if i dont put it in. I just dont want to run in any problems later on because of something i did not installed. If it comes with the kit, there must be a reason fot it...?But is it going to lower my ground clearance ?

I ordered the kit through a lift kit shop here in new brunswick, the guy told me the shipping cost is about 150$, i dont know what company he is using for the shipping but he told me its not like fedex or any of those common shipping method...maybe a private delivery company i dont really know

The T-Case drop won't have any negative effect on your off road ability IMO. It will obviously make the T-Case sit an inch or so lower, but I've never run into a problem because of the T-Case height. You'll get hung up o other parts of your Jeep before the Transfer case hits anything. 99.9999999999999999% of the time. You can try without the drop kit if you want and if you find driveline vibes, then install it, or just put it in when you install everything else (as I did).

Just curious, why did you purchase the IRO kit through a local shop instead of from IRO themselves?

Later.

Yeah i think i am just going to put the spacer in anyways...might save me some trouble later on. I am a fan of ''do it right and do it right the first time''

Well i wasent really sure which kit i wanted, but i was leaning towards the iro, i wanted a long arm so i went there and ask them and didnt knew about the company. But i guess he did his homework and contacted them, now he will sell the kits for them. I dont really have the tools and no garage for now to put the lift kit myself, so i'd rather have the shop to put it on for me, they are pretty good at it from what i have heard, it doesnt cost me more so i decided to let them do all the work, getting the kit shipped and installing it. they are saying it will be a 2 days job and they are asking 450$ for installation which i think is pretty good.

Great price for 450!!
T/C drops on WJ's "usually" aren't needed till around 5"+ so strictly in my opinion why raise your WJ 4" then lower the lowest point 1"? Keep it hidden up behind the trans x-member where it's safe. But as Craig said 99.99% of the time it won't be a problem and he goes to some pretty nice wheeling spots so would really just come down to personal preferance.
Pinion angles at 4" aren't going to be severe enough to wear out the u-joint's so that shouldn't be a problem.
The quick disco's are nice on trails to, more articulation in case you have to go through a deep washout, over a log, etc. Keeps the wheels planted on the ground.
Either way I'm sure your going to have fun with it, and you might even be tempted to see what it's new limits are. :)

Quick Disco's are one of the best things I've spent money on and would definitely recommend them.

Although, they would be fairly simple to build with a few parts from Princess Auto (or some place similar).

If you check "the Googles" there are a few "How-To's" out there on building your own discos. Otherwise, the JKS ones are decent.

As for the install...4-6 hours sounds reasonable at an average shop labor rate of $70 - $100 per hour.

If you don't mind my asking, who much did you pay for the parts?

I paid the asking price by IRO which is 1359.99 but that was american dollars so like 1500.00$ plus tax plus 150$ shipping...it will be close to 2000$ after everything and add to that the 450$ for the installation. And i added to that Adjustable Track Bar $19.99 and Doetsch Tech 8000 Shocks $69.99 on top of that. I am thinking for 2500$ i should be able to walk away with a nice little lift.

Good price, those shop rates are enough to make me want to move back to BC. 200.00/ hour here in McMurray now.
Needless to say the Jeep only sees the outside of the shops here.

Sucks big time up here, 189.00+ GST.
I really feel sorry for the people that are working up here for minimum wage. I'm pretty much the local mechanic on the street were I live here.
