new to'92 Wrangler-What "J" model is it?

It is too bad that the 10 others that viewed this before me didn't post anything about your question. Therefore, your Jeep is the "YJ" series between 1987-1995. If you type in the Google search (or whatever you use as a search engine) then you can find all kinds of information about your Jeep and the history of the Jeep.

Canadian Bear is correct the first J code jeep was the CJ. These were produced from 1942 - 1986. The YJ was available in model years 1987 - 1995 though they were produced right up until March of 1996. The TJ was produced from 1997 - 2006. Anything newer than that is a JK/JKL (The JK is the two door model and the JKL is the 4 door model).
