Default A Used 2015 JKU

Hi There

We just bought a used 2015 JKU after my wife's 2013 JK got written off.. In our family, this will be the 10th Jeep. Except for my wife's JK , they have mostly been XJ series including a couple of the pickups.I consider the JKU the only true sports utility in the spirit of the' 49 Wagoneer left in the market place. The Jeep we bought was a one owner ,woman driven very deluxe Sahara .I got my son to look it over, our resident Jeep Expert. "Dad, this jeep has not been off road." In the '70 I use to say any used car would cost you another $1000 after you buy it.Those were 1970 dollars. All the problems and repairs that the previous owner had either neglected or the reason for the sale. Since my wife's Wrangler was bought new and well taken care of, she wasn't too happy with the care the previous had taken, which was also bought new. I have some work to do, to bring it up to snuff. So far, I have found :

drivers seat cover, the leather is good but the vinyl side is cracked . The foam is likely to be in need of replacement as well.
when scanned,it threw the brake booster aux vacuum pump code
one of the tire pressure sensors was dead
a few days after we got it, check engine light came on, it was just thermostat code.
the nav didn't work, turns out it's a common unfixable problem. The wife ordered a Garmin.
the previous owner had backed in to something and the husband said, I'm not fixing it this time, so
bumper and the
light and the
license plate bracket will have to be replaced
the jack was rusted solid and missing the tire iron and jack handle.
my son said the tie rod ends were dry, so new tie rod ends and a alignment are in order.
Every one of these are pretty minor except when it rained, the drivers foot well flooded . I greased the roof panels with Sil-Glyde, Last night it rained again ,and today it's only wet. I guess I will have to replace the door seal.

And this unit would be considered pretty sweet. Some have been done already. But that what you get into with used vehicles .It's just what it is.

My wife is a rockhound, so this Jeep will get bush time.

Oh any one in the Lower Mainland, Gary's has my wife's 2013 Wrangler, it's got a Gobi roof rack as well as being pretty nice inside, just had it front axle knocked off.
