New JK 2017 Rocky Mountain
Hello,
On August 18 2017 I bought a new wrangler. I have had it for not even 3 months now and I have 3 issues and one of them is pretty serious.
1. Water seems to find its way into the car from the driver's side. This is a common thing and I was not too concerned about
2. There is an issue with the transmission and when I go to put in the 4th gear often the gear grinds and spits it out then it goes into gear
3. The most serious issue happened to me 3 days ago where I was driving down the highway and i went to apply the brakes only to realize that I had none!!!! I had to downshift and use my handbrake to slow down. I was quite terrified as I had my 6 year old niece in the back seat and my spouse next to me. We were lucky there was no traffic and only one car ahead of me so I got out of the way.
I took it to the dealer on Tuesday Nov. 7 and they told me that they would have to keep it for 2 weeks as the master cylinder is broken/worn out and until then they cant even check the transmission as the car cannot be driven.
Unfortunately Canada does not have laws set in place as I tried to google last night how I should handle this situation and I am not sure as to what I should do. I really love the car but I am very concerned that after not even 3 months and not even 4000 kms I am having such issues. I welcome all advise.

Re: New JK 2017 Rocky Mountain
Two weeks is a totally unreasonable time to resolve a brake issue, especially on a new vehicle. Go to the dealer and demand to see the boss, keep calm, cool and collected and demand that do something better or their name will be all over the internet. If that achieves nothing, wait untill the showroom is full and then rant and rave about how crap their service is, video it and put it up on you tube. This a totally rediculous situation, please post what happens.I would like to comment on the fact that these vehicules are usually quite reliable and total brake failure is almost impossible on newer vehicles. Good luck.
