Hello all,

First, i just wanted to mention how great it is to finally join the Jeep Comunity.
I just became the proud owner of a 2010 JK 2-DR Sahara, and im loving it.


Im posting this thread because i need some help with a wierd electrical problem that im having with my truck.
My turn signals wont engage right away. there is a delay of about 25-45 secs. And sometimes they wont engage at all. Whats even stranger is that sometimes (i noticed this while driving at night) my headlights and the light on the instument panel will fliker on and off, the interior cabin light turn on and the whipers will start working.
I have to play around with the light switches for a bit in order to make the whippers stop.
I also noticed that it wont spary the windshield washer fluid even though its full.

I got the truck on friday, the 27-th of August 2010.

Ofcourse i know that this is most likely covered by waranty, and i alredy have an apointment with my dealer, but i just wanted to know if anyone else had heard about a simillar problem, or if other JK owners had experienced something like this, or if this is some kind of defect.

I would apreciate any feedback that you guys could offer.

Welcome to the club. I just got my 4 door Sahara at the end of July. Reading through the forums, I've read that weird stuff like that happens when the battery is dying. Check your battery to make sure it has a good connection.

If it does then most likely you got a bad battery or alternator. Let us know the final verdict.

I drive a 2008 JKU, never seen this issue on mine.

Yep, drive it right back to the dealer....I'm doing the math,,,you haven't had it that long! For sure Warranty all the way.

Weird crazy electrical problems like this usually find their way back to a faulty or loose ground some were, or, in this case could be a computer issue. Again keep the faith, the dealer needs to make it right, polite and be persistent until you are happy.

I have an apointment at the dealer on the 7th of sept.

I'll update this thread with the info that i get from them.

Hmmm. 7 of Sept eh....that's a week from now, and you only picked it up on the 27-Aug.

HOWEVER, more of my 0.2 cents....I would drive back to the dealer with the expectation of service now, on the spot. Priority to someone who just spent hard earn money and they delivered you a vehical with a problem seems only fair. (or a free JK rental that works)

Yep, I would escilate right on up to the owner of the dealership, no action there...call Jeep Corporate on your cell phone from their showroom, and talk LOUD!

Reminds me of a joke....Buddy goes into Tim Hortons ask's for day old donuts, clerk responds saying they don't have any, buddy replies OK. I'LL WAIT.

Dbo, first off welcome to the forum. I agree with the comments saying take it back now! An appointment is not necessary for something that might cause an accident. HMMM, maybe an accident would be could with a lawsuit involving big $$$$. They are open tomorrow, bring it in. Write a letter to them and to Chrysler Canada's HQ. Also have them give you some nice MOPAR accessories for your trouble - navi sounds reasonable. Tell them you will also post the name of the dealer on all the forums, starting here, if you are not satisfied.
