Tranny problem

Question Tranny problem

I got a little problem, i **** the t-case in 4wd it' work well. When i ****** back on 2wd, the Partime light won't close. So i tried to put it back on 4wd but it like everthing is on neutral, rev up but nothing happen. The truck go foward only on 2wd with the light of PARTIME still on.

Could somebody tecnucal help me ?

Weird , sounds like you messed up something mechanical inside.

Possible a transfer case problem , because thats what deals with the 4 wd vs 2 wd.

It could be external shift linkage binding, insufficient or incorrect lubricant (should use Dexron ll automatic transmission fluid), tire wear or incorrect pressure, or excessive vehicle loading. Those are the easy ones to check, the transfer case might need rebuilding or replacing.

That was only the linkage, a little adjustment, everything run well
