4.2 stroker

Re: 4.2 stroker
Ditch the Dana 35 if you have or have plans to go bigger than 30 inch tires. As long as its a mild stroker(and a 4.2 most likely is) it should be fine with the AX15(standard transmission) however the YJ wasn't blessed with the AW4 found in the XJ if you have an auto.
The 231 would probably be ok as long as its in good shape.
So moral of the story? new rear axle, new ujoints all around, possibly a standard transmission swap and you should be good.
Thats assuming you already had a 4.2/4L drivetrain in there. If you had the 4cyl then well you're going to need new rear axle, ujoints, transmission and possibly a transfercase(not sure on the spline count differences)
Congrats on picking up a kick *** motor btw. Nothing better than a stroked 4.2L
