In a jeep with leaf springs what is the need for a trac bar in the front

Try driving it without it, you'll find out in a hurry. The steering's rubbish in the first place but without it it's simply miserable.

I personally do not run one and really don't notice a difference. With all the bushings being replaced with Urethane the axle does not tend to side step when steering. I do however still run the swaybar. Also to give you an idea of my faith in the setup of my truck my wife drives it daily in the summer at speeds of 60km/hr to 120km/h with no issues.

In a bone stock truck I would highly suggest keeping it.
