Default Dana 44 front axle

Hello all,

My first posting here on Jeepscanada, I'm Daan from the netherlands!

I have a '92 YJ with a ford 8.8 in the rear and I like to do a front axle swap.
I like to go to a dana 44 with bolt pattern 5 on 4.5.
Does anyone knows were I can find one… maybe custom built?

Thanks.

There's no direct fit exactly that I know of. You can have one built, but thats expensive. Another way is to grab a TJ Rubicon axle, and weld brackets to it. Or swap yours to a coil spring suspension. Either way, its expensive, or time consuming. But all in all, you will be happier going to a tougher axle. GLuck friend :D .
