I was just reading another forum posting and they were talking about speedo re-gearing, I am sure that the 31's weren't stock !

I guess i should look at that too! It won't give me more mpg in reality but it might look better on paper!

I was reading a post about speedo gearing. Hummmm! i dont think that the 31's are stock, maybe i will check into this.
It won't physicaly give me a better mileage, but I might be getting a better mileage than i realize!

 

I change my oil regularily, usually every month and I rotate my tires with every oil change.

okay update,
just filled up yesterday, 53.8 liters and i was in the red almost on the "E". distance which was reset last time i filled up fully. 338km.
doing the math that works out to 17 mpg (imperial). all intown!!

conclusion, I only have a 15 gal (US) tank and i am getting better mileage that i had thought or hoped!
