I'd go and get yourself some spicer joints. They are strong. I also use joints that do not have grease nipples in them because having a hole drilled through the joint will actually cause it to be weather. Spicer joints should be availalbe from more driveline places.

The research I have done recommends Spicer 5-760x. they are $73.43 for two joints taxes included. That's the best they have where I buy parts and they are not grease able. Does Spicer make anything better or will these be OK?
Thanks

Those are the same joints the I run in my Rubi and I carry them as spares too. I can change them out on the trail if needed.

One of the better things that you can do is to machine or file out the inner part of the ears and then use full circle clips rather than the clips that come with the joints.

Update: I purchased the Spicer 5-760X U-Joints along with a rear brake kit, shoes and drums and began work. Brakes went well. Replacing the front U-Joints was going well also, except that after installing the C Clip on the Front Driver’s Side Axle U-Joint (axle shaft that inserts to the differential), I noticed the Yoke (believe that is what it’s called) on this shaft was slightly bent inwards. This may explain the premature failure of the U-Joint I replaced. Thought about bending the yoke back to its original position, and decided against that as I did not want to risk damaging it further and also because I needed the Jeep for Monday. My question now is do I need to purchase a new axle, try to bend it straight, or leave it as it is and wait and see how long the newly installed U-Joint lasts? The C-Clip fully installed into the grove. I don’t usually damage my vehicles like this, but I seem to remember the original U-Joints being very difficult to remove, and that’s when I believe the damage may have occurred. Yeah trying to ward off the insults with that last line, (jokes I can take). 
Thanks.

If the joint moved smoothly after it was installed I would leave it and see what happens. If it's not making noise or vibrating it's probably ok.

Apparently my response from the phone didn't take. The joint did move smoothly oldfart, and I will keep an eye on it. Wide range of prices for this axle, not sure which to choose if I and when I need to choose.
thanks for the advice.
take care
