ZJ noise
I have a 95 Grand Cherokee w/ 318 and quadra trac that until recently
was driving great. recently it developed a noise in the upper engine
area and I nailed it down to the Idler pully between the alternator and
a/c compressor. I replaced it and the noise sort of went away, the
grinding screech of the bearing in that pulley went away but there is
still this chirping sount that only is heard when the vehicle is in
motion, the chirping will increase in speed with the engine rpm but
disappears when the jeep is not moving, it almost is timed with the
wheels rotating but as I have said will speed up with the engine when
the throttle is opened. anyone have any ideas?

the belt does not yet need replacement. its not new but its not old
ether. if it were the belt this noise would still be happening while
parked.
