Worn out XJ Shocks

Re: Worn out XJ Shocks
You wont need a new track bar with 2" of lift. You can re drill the mounting
point for the track bar and move it over a half inch if need be gut it will
probably be fine.
Front coils arent that expensive and if I was going through the hassle of
installing spacers, I would just get replacement coils. Problem is, they
dont just sell 2" lift coils.

Re: Worn out XJ Shocks
When a shock leaks, it needs replacing. Bad shocks may feel fine, but they
will also ruin your tires. (cupping) also if the shock does sieze,(mine did
that once) you could end up breaking a shock mount off and that would really
suck!( I did that as well)
Fix it! The DT shocks will be fine for what you are doing and the price is
right.

will also ruin your tires. (cupping) also if the shock does sieze,(mine did
that once) you could end up breaking a shock mount off and that would really
suck!( I did that as well)
Fix it! The DT shocks will be fine for what you are doing and the price is
right.

Re: Worn out XJ Shocks
When a shock leaks, it needs replacing. Bad shocks may feel fine, but they
will also ruin your tires. (cupping) also if the shock does sieze,(mine did
that once) you could end up breaking a shock mount off and that would really
suck!( I did that as well)

Show her an ad in the paper for what it'll cost to replace the tires.
Bad shocks will wreck tires just as sure as a bad alignment.

Re: Worn out XJ Shocks
Kevin, Rocky Road Outfitters will sell you just a pair of coil springs
from Old Man Emu, if that's what you're after.
