Nevertheless, I think we covered this on the "top or no top" thread, but HOW
waterproof is the interior?

Get it up on the dash and it gets in the cig lighter...ignition
hole...cd/cassette port....vent holes on radio!?

Do they make a floating Jeep with a bilge pump?

So with the pluses and minuses for either type....why y'all bitchin about
people bitchin about it?!
Isn't it fair to say that everyone does different types of wheeling in
different types of location?!
And where they get stuck will be different.....There's no winch to end all
winches....no one winch will get you out of all spots....

So settle with that. I think that your average joe might be able to deal
with troubleshooting an electric winch easier than hydraulics. (ie. hey,
there's voltage at the terminals and the solenoid is clicking when I hit the
button....winch must be pooched... OR; hey, where's all this damn fluid
coming from....crap, I have no way of fixing the leak and replenishing the
fluid....)

In either case you're still stuck.....

The complaints are usually second or third hand as far as that goes.
I've got a Milemarker hydraulic and I certainly don't regret having
bought it. The only possible complaint is that it is slow, but if I
need to winch it isn't like I am going anywhere fast anyway. And with
the power available, I can know with certainty that something is getting
unstuck, whether it is the Jeep or whatever I have the other end of the
cable connected to.
