Oil pressure will always vary up and down directly in step with the
engine rpms. The faster the engine is turning, the higher the oil
pressure and visa-versa. "2ish" is actually around 20 psi and is fine
at lower rpms. I use the 10 psi for every 1K of engine rpms as a rough
guideline as what is normal.

You could probably drive another hundred thousand miles, but it's
tired. Idling it's designed to maintain forty pounds, as that is the
bypass pressure assured at the pump:

I believe the gauges from any new car manufacturer to be
inaccurate, but they're going to be in the ball park, satisfying most of
us. If you value your machine like most Hot Rodders, than supplement
