Re: Towing a 10' Popup
Main reason to not tow in OD is that the tranny tends to 'hunt' (shifts
in and out of OD) If the trailer is light enough it works fine in OD and
you get better gas mileage.

Mm, better check that against elapsed distance and fuel usage, with the
price of fuel the way it is. Sometimes you are better off driving a little
slower and keeping it in drive. Aerodynamics and power curves, you know.

'Both' of my Jeeps owners manuals say not to use OD no matter if a
standard or auto. On the standard, that would be 5th gear.
