5.8 KM per litre!!!!
One day I drove from Ottawa to Oakville in my 01TJ
Speeding down the 401 at around 130-140KMs per hour Average
I got exactly 10KMs per litre.
I was impressed.

Man, I can't even relate to that and I am Canadian....
I get 11L/100km in my CJ7 258 on the 401 at those speeds. That works
out to 19 US mpg. My speedometer is GPS calibrated.
Though I don't know just 'why' they don't call it like you said it....
I would get 9.09 KM per liter.
You get crappy mileage!
