Re: TJ Gas mileage ?
Use the Overdrive off till you get about 5000 miles on it when not on
highway driving under 55 or so. I did and improved gas mileage about 3 miles
per gallon. Amazing how much stronger the motor got with miles. I have about
7000 on it now and I only turn the overdrive off in real hilly sections.
I recently got 21 miles to the gallon on a trip but am getting about 19 now
with daily commuting on secondary roads.
I am not going to complain about that.
Mine is a 2004 wrangler with the 4.0 and automatic
