Actually that's why I was asking. They are rated very well and I have
no other complaints. My first inclination was tread seperation or
wheel bearing but I've checked all those things . It's a distinctive

Sometimes, just 'cupping' will cause the sound you describe. Might want to
check and see if you need an alignment. Mine were cupping some, and the
tire dealer said that I wasn't rotating often enough. I realized that he
was in business to sell tires, so I decided to get an alignment, and my
'cupping' has stopped. You can check this by feeling along the tread. If
you feel 'ridges' one way, and not in the other direction, the you have some
cupping due to wear.
