Tire noise

Et All
I've got Duler AT Revos on a 2000 Tj. I have about 12000 miles on them
so far. Nice tire, holds exceptionally well in wet weather, etc. That
said, the things are loud and getting louder. Instead of a contstant
road noise, which i would have expected, they have developed a slight
wap, wap, wap sound. I had Firestone check them thinking I had one
seperating but they said no, that was just normal tire noise. I had
my Jeep guy drive it he said they sounded like they might be cupped
and should go away with rotation and normal driving. Just curious as
whether anyone else has experienced this with these tires? Not really
a big thing just irritating as hell...

Re: Tire noise

I sure would suspect a seperated belt with the wap, wap, wap sound.
Keep a close check for bulging places on the tire tread. All of them if
you can't pin-point which tire (hard to do sometimes).

Yes, I switched to BF Goodrich ATs about twenty years ago, and
realized my Bronco came with a stereo.
