Volkswagen chairman Bernd Pischetsrieder gave a talk at the LA auto show and
spoke about the new diesels (with low sulfur fuel) running cleaner, getting
better mileage that gas-electric hybrids, being more dependable with lower
maintenance and available at a reasonable cost.

Fifties bucks say it wasn't open the public in 1980. Geez, even the
key operated diesel I contracted with had gasoline. Like all old gas
station have at least three storage tanks.
