I've got a 12" disc sander, so I'll probably thin the washers out and
install them. I can use carpet tape to hold the washer to a block and
grind away.

Overall, I like the kit.

Barry, I used to run the Tera QDFT quick disconnects and can't figure
out why your washer is too thick to allow the pin to fit through the
stud. If you have a close-up digital photo, or can take one, you can
send me I'd be glad to try and help you figure it out. I ran mine for
4-5 years and then sold them to someone else who is still happily
running them. This is not a problem that has ever been brought up in
the many web-based Jeep forums I read or participate in.

I don't have a photo, but let me explain further.

These washers are rather crappily and heavily plated examples of
washers. With the lubricated bushing shoved as far as possible along
the stainless "peg", the opposite end of the bushing is right up against
spindle. This leaves about 1/16" between the hole and the edge of the
bushing. The washer is more than 1/16" thick, so the pin cannot slide
into the hole.

Others have already acknowledged the same issue, right in this thread,
so I'm not that crazy. <G>

I'm guessing others that have had the problem are either a.) not using
the washer, b.) too embarrassed to admit it doesn't fit, c.) haven't
used web forums or Usenet, or more likely, Teraflex has recently changed
hardware suppliers.

The quality of the big washers in my kit is not in the same league as
the other parts.

Barry,
Those are often a snug fit. Just slip on the washer and use a big plier
to squeeze together the whole contraption (washer/bushing/etc) and you
should see enough of the hole to slip in the pin.
