Re: side step info
I have seen a TJ grind its way around a huge boulder on its Timken bars, and
they also double as a handy side step if you cover the top with non-skid
tape.

I have the Tomken 2x2's on my TJ. If you're looking for something to
double as a step, their 2x4's might be better for you. I've had no
complaints about mine... they've held up well, and I can even use my
Hi Lift jack on them (although I don't like to hehehe). If I had it to
do over again, I *might* have gone with Boulder Bars
(http://boulderbars.com/) since they mount to the frame at three
points instead of just two... seems like they may be sturdier. And in
the future, I'm thinking I may just go with some traditional rocker
protection like Off Your Rocker (http://www.offyourrockers.com/). I
don't really need a step (6'4"), and I'm able to give the wife a boost
into the Jeep if needed (kinda fun anyway hehehe).

If one does not need or want the side step capability, then the Sun
Performance is an excellent choice.
