Re: Seeking Wrangler Advice
The AX15 has that "feature" as well. The rebuilder I got mine from
sent along a detailed set of instructions on how to reset the shift
rods using a long screwdriver thru the tower when (not if) it locked
up coming out of reverse on a cold day. Told him I was going straight
synthetic lube and his response was "In the case, disregard all
after..." but I suppose it could still happen.

Re: Seeking Wrangler Advice
I grew up on cars starting with this 37 Ford:
http://www.----------.com/woody.jpg where the shift lever would pop out
of the shift rods and I'd have pull the floor shift and stick back in
the correct position, that's the NV3500's problem something breaks deep
down in there and must be completely disassemble.

My zip is 16740. I like the sound of 'i found many low mileage '01-'02
sports/saharas in the $11k-$12k range!' I am all ears!

Re: Seeking Wrangler Advice
So I take it you aren't planning on using 4x4 anytime soon?
