Re: Rocky-Road outfitters update - Update #2

Kate,
I'm going to call and complain next week. I would expect cheesy 'pressed
in' grease nipples from "Steel Horse" brand shackles, but I had expected RRO
to be as they had claimed, 'High Quality'. Would it be that hard to tap the
hole and put a threaded fitting in there?

I will likely not buy from or reccomend RRO to anyone. Low quality product,
slow processing time, poor quality. The jury is still out on customer
service.

Re: Rocky-Road outfitters update - Update #2

When I buy new ball joints and tie rod ends and u-joints, they just come
with an empty hole and either the zerk fittings and/or small blocking
bolts. These fittings are 'self threading' tapered fittings. They are
supposed to be screwed in, not pressed in.

'I' have never had a failure of one in over 30 years of changing them.

It's now too late to thread the holes or to try and self tap them with
new fittings.
