Rocky-Road outfitters update
On 12/6 I placed and order for two IPF headlamp lenses, two IPF h4 bulbs,
and two XJ lift shackles. On 12/11, I recieved an e-mail from UPS ship notoification with tracking information. The package arrived on 12/12. Untill today, 12/15, I hadn't had a chance to go pick up the package from my apartment complex. The package includes (2) XJ lift shackles. The packing list says the headlamps and bulbs are on backorder. There was no mention of a backorder on the web site. Now, before the flaming starts, I'm not complaining about the backorder. That's fine. They only charged the payment for the shackles and have not charged for the headlamps at this time. I order online and know that processing and shipping takes time, so I order with enough time to accomodate. What am I complaning about? It's been six full business days since I placed my order on 12/6, and no one has bothered to call or e-mail and tell me that my other items are on backorder. Am I wrong to expect to be notified when items I have purchased are on backorder, and when the anticipated ship date is? All that being said, the shackles appear to be very high quality and were very carefully and well packed. Bushings and grease nipples are pre-installed. Carl |

One of the items I decided I didn't want and called them as I wanted to cancel the order. I was told to just refuse the delivery, which I did. It took me THREE MONTHS to get a refund. I had no luck with emails, not even the grouchy kind. It seems their emailing ahs been outsourced. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and within a week I had a refund ($235.00). I think it was a coincidence because when I called their 800 number the young lady told me aht I should have phoned sooner because that was all they needed to process my refund. Sooooooo where I'm going with this, call them. Don't rely on them to nitialize the communication. You have only one order to worry about, they have hundreds. Hopefully they can give you an ETA. Re: Rocky-Road outfitters update - Update #2
I called RRO about 20 minutes after the OP. They said they had a shipment
coming in but didn't know if my lights were on that shipment. They promised to give me a call in a few hours. Nearly 24 hours later, nothing. On a side note, my initial impressions about the shackles is now less than stellar. The grease nipples, instead of being threaded in, are a press fit. The nipples have a threaded end. They both fell out before ever making it onto the Jeep.
