Re: Ring and pinion - tech answer needed
We are talking about 3.73 ratio, Summit makes no distinction:

I'll take a hundred.

Hi Bill,
You're just joking about laying $100 on it aren't you? I don't want to
take your money, but hey, if you're serious I'm game. :)
The way I read it, summit only offers TJ Dana 30 gears in 4.10 (actually
4.11 by the way). None of the others are compatible with the TJ.
Check out this site and their complete selection of TJ Dana 30 'short'
gears:
http://tinyurl.com/4stmt
Or this one with 'short pinion' gears for TJ listed separate from those
for CJ:
http://www.rocky-road.com/jeepdrive.html
Or Precision Gear's 'T' designation in the part number for TJ gears:
http://www.precisiongear.com/dana30.htm
Or these:

Hi Steve,
the first, sixth and seventh URLs don't sell the 3.73 ratio, for
the Dana 30, the second the 30D/373 appears to fit everything, the third
is with or without the crush sleeve, the forth is standard shim,
reverse, and crush sleeve, the fifth only sells the D30373.

the first, sixth and seventh URLs don't sell the 3.73 ratio, for
the Dana 30, the second the 30D/373 appears to fit everything, the third
is with or without the crush sleeve, the forth is standard shim,
reverse, and crush sleeve, the fifth only sells the D30373.
