Re: rear seal leak
Man I'm bummed that the news.individual.net started charging for the
service. It's back the the isp service for me. > Are you running at 240 degrees? Jammed shut, usually blows the oil filter off. Usually takes > buy the whole timing chain cover: Nope, it runs right at 195 and has no unusual noise. The oil pump has new parts and has not been smacked. |
Re: rear seal leak
I had my mechanic tear it down after I got it. It has new pistons, rings,
cam etc, just like the receipts that came with it said, but valves were mismatched. I had to have the valves, guides and springs replaced, but internally it was good. I'll admit I spent too much on this small v8, I should have went with a 401 or 350 sb for the $. It dyno'd at 210 hp. That's still way too low, something wrong! A V8 by any manufacture
should never be less than forty pounds as we see in these mechanic's guide lines: http://www.----------.com/amchpchart.jpg God Bless America, ßill O|||||||O mailto:-------------------- HomeBrewer wrote: > > It has no unusual noice at all, and plenty of power.
