Indeed, I can hear the marketing wags discussing it now, poring over the focus group data, etc. In the end "Scrambler" doesn't mean much to anyone these days, back in the '70's it signified a hybrid dirt/road bike, and as I recall one of Jeeps ads from that era had such a bike straped into the bed. Regardless, "Unlimited" seems to be a name left in the bin after they settled on the "Rubicon" label for that rig, and, "Unlimited" seeems to suggest a more robust TJ than the Rubi, which it ain't. Such is the world of marketing Bovine Scatology! |
