Not all I assure you. Bill has an idiot savant like ability to dig up
info on just about any subject at hand. If he could present it in that
context he would be fine. Unfortunately he seems to equate the ability
to dig up info with actually being knowledgeable about said subject. To
me his arrogance and pomposity far outweigh the benefits of any info he
may dig up and present.


With that said, a killfile is an excellent tool. I would suggest you,
your friends, and just about everyone else in your group make use of it.
It would surely cut down on your aggravation level, and Bill without
an audience is like a dog without a bone.

what part about 24bit being a gormless troll are you missing on here?
I have yet to see ANY posts from 24bit that even remotely pertain to
this newsgroups charter. At least Bill is a good source of information.

My mother used to tell me that if I had nothing good to say, it was better
to keep my mouth shut. If both you, Bill and 24 bits adopted this principle,
the rest of us might get some peace.

And what part about bill being a pompous ass don't you get? I didn't
intend for my mildly worded comment to turn into attacks on anyone. I
voiced my opinion to this person and in a round about way suggested he
and all his buddies use their kill file option to eliminate bill from
their world, thereby affording them the opportunity to get on with life
and leave this group alone.

Troll he may be with little to offer. Bill is not much better and like
I said, IMO, his benefits do not outweigh the costs of dealing with him.
