Well, I sat back and waited, and let him hang himself yet again.

And he did.

He screwed up big time.

In his rush to impress everyone with his knowledge of things Welsh, he
performed as expected. His translation of "the place where Tamatea, the
man with the big knees, who slid, climbed and swallowed mountains, known
as 'landeater,' played his flute to his loved one." is not Welsh. Far,
far, FAR from it. Jonno would know. It's actually Maori, from New Zealand.

The correct translation is, "The church of St. Mary in the hollow of
white hazel trees near the rapid whirlpool by St. Tysilio's of the red
cave" which sounds a bit more Northern Hemisphere.

and how he only speaks about what he knows. I love sarcasm, and in Billy's
case, it's sarchasm, because there's a '------' gap between what is said
and what he understands.

Not all I assure you. Bill has an idiot savant like ability to dig up
info on just about any subject at hand. If he could present it in that
context he would be fine. Unfortunately he seems to equate the ability
to dig up info with actually being knowledgeable about said subject. To
me his arrogance and pomposity far outweigh the benefits of any info he
may dig up and present.


With that said, a killfile is an excellent tool. I would suggest you,
your friends, and just about everyone else in your group make use of it.
It would surely cut down on your aggravation level, and Bill without
an audience is like a dog without a bone.

voiced my opinion to this person and in a round about way suggested he
and all his buddies use their kill file option to eliminate bill from
their world, thereby affording them the opportunity to get on with life
and leave this group alone.

fit in the palm of my hand and cost $50. I was remembering that back
when I bought a MONSTER (to me) 80 meg hard drive for my board, that
that 40 gigger would have cost on the order of $40,000.

Why is it that computer hardware has increased in performance by many
orders of magnitude, yet costs a fraction of what it did then, computer
games can cost many MILLIONS to produce today but cost less than they
did 20 years ago (adjusted for inflation), but jeep/automobile
technology hasn't seen any truly mind boggling changes yet costs 3-5
times what it did back when I bought my smokin commodore vic-20?
