Re: auto locks
if she has power door locks, I'm about 90% sure the dealer can program
them....or it may be only if it has power *remote* locks.
Every vehicle I've had with power locks has made a trip to the dealer
to have the "auto locking" feature disabled.....damn annoying....but
then I don't live in a carjacking prone area.......I've also had them
programmed so the horn honks when the doors are locked/unlocked with
the remote, etc.....

Not if it's done right. Mom's Buick has this feature, but to get OUT of
the car, you have to manually unlock all the doors. No way you can get
yourself locked out unless you really try.

Put a spare key in your wallet.
My old Chevy had a spare key in one of those magnetic cases
stuck way up the inside of the bed. You had to get under
the truck and reach in a couple of feet to get it.
