Question for Mike

Hi Mike,

since you live in Canada and I also do (Montreal south shore), I've seen a
few posts of yours about not needing a catalytic converter and I remember
when I had my '83 Toyota 4x4 with a front solid axle (last year they made
it) that it did not have one on it and didn't need it because it was a
utility/recreation vehicule. Up to what year is this true? I now have
upgraded to an 89 YJ :) and was wondering if I could take it out legally or
not for that year vehicule?

Thanks,
Nelson
89YJ

Re: Question for Mike

Sorry, the CJ was the last of the Jeep 'utility' vehicles.

The YJ's need cats...

I have tuned a few YJ's for emissions and they do require the cat and
have to pass a NOx reading.
