That sounds like the bleeding heart liberals wacko limps of
southern Cal, they gather the possums from residential areas and dump in
my parent's groves costing them thousands of dollars in fruit! My German

Re: the reported bear attack
It's not costing Mike any money. He's Canadian and doesn't pay federal or
Minnesota taxes. Another way to look at it, is that wolves are federally
protected, "Wolves are protected under federal law. It is illegal to harm or
kill a wolf, except in defense of human life." Shooting them, then, is
civil disobedience. I have nothing against civil disobedience, if you
really think that the law is unjust, but isn't it the kind of thing that
bleeding heart liberal wackos are best at? ;^)
Another way to look at it, is that if wolves are federally protected, then
they are federal property. Shooting federal property, well that's just
subversive.

Re: the reported bear attack
Elk are like deer or cows in Colorado. In fact, there are many commercial
herds of elk here. They get real tame when you put a fence around them and
feed them. It's a good alternative to cows for making money, but lately the
chronic wasting disease has put a crimp in it.
I have seen bald eagles inside the Fort Collins city limits. In fact, one
used to hunt from a tree across the street from my house when I lived there.
Fort Collins must have had 120,000 inhabitants at the time, and it is still
growing. There are still enough vacant lots and prairie gophers around to
keep the eagles and red tailed hawks interested.
I met a guy who uses his kitchen window as a "blind" of sorts, for hunting
Canada geese. In Fort Collins you can't even go for a walk in the park
barefoot, because of you know what from the geese. Kirkland, WA too.
We do have some of your lynx and moose though. Thanks!
Sure the ecosystem will get back to where it was--after the petroleum runs
out!

herds of elk here.
Thanks!

Re: the reported bear attack
Hi Earle,
Yes, I forgot Mike's country can't sell us any of their cattle
because of Mad Cow disease. Now why do you think your steak is so
expensive? They eat range grass, it's not like we have to buy them from
the Arabs.
I grew up around mountain lions, I never saw one as it was shoot on
sight, so just jacking shell and they where long gone. Now they eat a
joggers every other year, even the coyotes are brazen and carry off
children.
Saw a cute bear picture a few minutes ago on another group:

Yes, I forgot Mike's country can't sell us any of their cattle
because of Mad Cow disease. Now why do you think your steak is so
expensive? They eat range grass, it's not like we have to buy them from
the Arabs.
I grew up around mountain lions, I never saw one as it was shoot on
sight, so just jacking shell and they where long gone. Now they eat a
joggers every other year, even the coyotes are brazen and carry off
children.
Saw a cute bear picture a few minutes ago on another group:
