Best I can figure too.
The shifter sounds like it is missing something down in there.

Hi Carlo,
You have to have started your driving in twenty dollar cars on
twenty five cent tires to know how easy it is to slip a shift rod into
gear and leave the shifter in neutral. I just hope Bob didn't force the
trans in, by using the bolts as a puller.

gear and leave the shifter in neutral. I just hope Bob didn't force the
