Re: OT: E-150 Dies During Driving
In my '84, and '89 Thunderbirds it was the ignition switch falling
apart. The same problem causing the newer van fires. Easy to check just
pull the steering column plastic about where it goes under the dash, and
you may see the white plastic half of the switch coming off.

Better yet, just get the freeze spray instead of the duster....
The freeze spray is intended to test for parts that fail with heat.

'Gas vent line' rings alarms. If not plumbed or vented correctly this
line will let a vacuum happen on the gas tank which causes the engine to
appear to run out of gas after driving for a while. It then bogs out
and dies.

line will let a vacuum happen on the gas tank which causes the engine to
appear to run out of gas after driving for a while. It then bogs out
and dies.
