That means you had five flats a week; twenty a month; about 180 for the
school year. And we all know you never lie.
So the common sense question most people would ask, why did you not learn
that you could avoid all that wasted time and effort buying and changing
tires every day if you saved up a couple of bucks and bought better tires?
Anyone else would have.

Re: OT: AWESOME!!!
If you had bought one tire in the fifties, you would know they were
just as expensive then as they are now. Back then I could have repair a
tire, quicker than you could change to the spare now. I still have the
tire pump: http://www.----------.com/pumper.jpg

Re: OT: AWESOME!!!
They were probably much more expensive relatively...
I was buying new bias ply tires for $20 (+mounting and balancing) when I
was making about $2 an hour....

Re: OT: AWESOME!!!
I remember it well a Goodyear 710X15 white wall was thirty four
bucks, in 1956 as I would wear the left side of the tire treads off
burning second and third from my parents '56 Ford 292 automatic while
leaning it on two wheels. I was trying to keep a straight face as the
dealer was saying it was because of the crown in the road:
