I use 10-40 Quaker state on my 120k engine. It's only run in 60 degree F
temps and above. Only reason to use the heavier oil is to maintain
reasonable oil pressure at idle. You would like 20 psi, 10 psi at idle
is starting to be worrysome.

I'm the odd ball. In my 96 xj with 142k miles I use Shell Rotella synthetic
5-40 (blue bottle, Wallmart $12.88 per gallon). Lots of oil pressure and no
oil usage.
