Re: OFF TOPIC - Truth or Joke?
Feh, any time you'd care to learn raw html, css, dhtml, xml,
just cough up a few hundred per hour and buy a good raw code editor so you can keep up. Notepad is ok for script kiddies, but if you are not familiar with HomeSite, the teaching price goes up another hundred per hour. Or to quote one cow orker's answer to the query on the tools folks used to maintain information on our internal website, "Forte Java Compiler." Approximately 8/31/03 18:22, Tyler Dirden uttered for posterity: > You will be that Master when you can snatch the NOTEPAD from my hand. > DreamWeaver, indeed. The biggest advantage of the newer DreamWeaver versions isn't crafting pages, it is the site maintenance feature. Imagine you have a few thousand web pages and you want to move or rename or replace *one* page. You have no idea how many of the thousands of other pages have links to this page. Yes with perl, etc. you could fix this. Or just rename the page and wait for something like dreamweaver to automatically find and fix every link automatically. As for raw coding, IMNHO, it sucks compared to HomeSite. |
