I didn't click the link because my first thought was that it was going to
launch some kind of virus. I recognized the joke for what it is, I mean,
what sort of moron with pounds of heroin to sell, not to mention cruise
missles, is going to use spam to peddle his wares?

What does darkprofits peddle, by the way?

As near as I can tell, not much more than a tricycle. But
I admit to a somewhat scornful attitude toward script kiddies
in general.

It's abviously fake!

A) There are no discounts on Cocaine!

B) Gay-slaves would never "get straight" to work...

Re: OFF TOPIC - Truth or Joke?

Ahhh, little glasshopper. Available with the DreamWeaver/Fireworks
suite is the highly powerful tool known as HomeSite. Which is
pretty much a glorified PC style emacs complete with color coding,
but otherwise an extremely powerful raw html editor. And once
you register HomeSite, you can go get TopStyle from the guy who
wrote HomeSite originally.

Besides, *real* men don't do websites with vi, they use PERL,
CGI, JavaBeans, XML, Oraperl, SQL, etc. etc. etc.

Feh, any time you'd care to learn raw html, css, dhtml, xml,
just cough up a few hundred per hour and buy a good raw
code editor so you can keep up. Notepad is ok for script
kiddies, but if you are not familiar with HomeSite, the
teaching price goes up another hundred per hour.

Or to quote one cow orker's answer to the query on the tools

Lots of my pages are crafted by good old notepad or Netscape editor/Mozilla.
The fugleiest code comes from word and save-as-html.

Word html is a thing of beauty and grace and simplicity compared to
the cruft created by Excel.

The biggest advantage of the newer DreamWeaver versions isn't
crafting pages, it is the site maintenance feature. Imagine
you have a few thousand web pages and you want to move or
rename or replace *one* page. You have no idea how many of
the thousands of other pages have links to this page. Yes
with perl, etc. you could fix this. Or just rename the page
and wait for something like dreamweaver to automatically
find and fix every link automatically. As for raw coding,
IMNHO, it sucks compared to HomeSite.
