but the translation is anything but nice. What bugs me is Norwegian uses a few
different characters (á,é,í,ó,ñ,ø,ú,ü,æ, and å) yet that bit of text has none.

I got a translation from the woodstove manufacter.
It says as follows:
I built me a flame
Late at night
When day is done
God will my flame
never dies out.
