A gent in a city not too far away has a used one. Going to take a drive
down there this afternoon after I get out of physiotherapy.

It is notched pretty bad and he really doesn't want to have to replace
everything again anytime soon.

Well we got the parts yesterday and put it together last night.

Not bad, it was a heat wave yesterday, went up to -1C.

So he goes to put the new steel nose piece or bearing retainer on the
tranny and oops, only one bolt fits... Ok, someone has drilled out the
tranny and nose piece and hopefully tapped it for bigger bolts in all
the holes except one. We dig out the drill press and do the holes and
he gets that on.

Got my son and a friend ready to help him and me to aim it and the
tranny just slipped in easy.

They he tries to start it and no way, not even a rumble. battery dies
down pretty fast because his alternator belt is toast.

Pull it out onto the street and I give it a boost. Still no go, smells
like gas. Check, the choke is missing it's rod so is sitting wide open
and he flooded it pumping it.

It is getting late now, so I recommend he pull the plugs and dry them
while I make the choke do something. He barely touches the PCV valve
with the plug wrench so I go to pull it out of the way and watch the
guts of the damn valve calmly go into the valve cover! Crap!

Ok, forget the plugs, lets go eat and put the charger on then come back
out and pull the valve cover.

Well I got to thinking and found a magnet on a pen stick and went
'fishing'. Got lucky and clicked onto the parts from the top with the
magnet!

Then we got it running and 'whew' he had a working clutch!
