From the "Not for everybody department"
Stumbled across this diff cover today...

Hi Brian,
A friend of mine that was in the Marine Corp. thirty years ago made
site glasses in all the cases, of an M-151 thinking would assist in
class room instruction, but as soon as the gear began to turn the fluid
would fog it over.
